Poor gut health can cause bloating, fatigue, skin issues, and low mood.
A healthy gut supports digestion, energy, immunity, and skin.
Your gut and immune system work closely together.
I offer personalised, long-term support to improve your gut health.
Your gut is more than just where food goes. It affects your digestion, mood, energy, immune system, and even your skin. When your gut is out of balance, you can feel it in many parts of your body. It’s amazing to watch clients feel lighter, more energised, and happier when we nurture their gut health step by step.
If your gut isn’t working well, you might notice:
Bloating, gas, constipation, or diarrhoea
Skin issues like acne or rashes
Weight gain or loss that doesn’t make sense
Low energy or always feeling tired
Poor sleep
Anxiety or depression
Food cravings (especially sugar or carbs)
Getting sick often.  A sign your immune system might be struggling
Headaches
Food intolerances.  Reacting to foods that used to be fine
These signs often mean your gut bacteria (the bugs that live in your digestive system) are out of balance.
When your gut is healthy, you feel it! Benefits can include:
Easier digestion and less bloating
Stronger bones
Healthier weight
Better blood pressure
Lower risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes
Clearer skin
More energy to get through your day
🟢Is It True That Your Immune System Is In Your Gut?
Yes! Around 70% of your immune system lives in your gut. The good bugs (bacteria) in your gut communicate with your immune cells. They talk to each other all the time. If the gut is unbalanced, your immune system may not work as well, making you more likely to get sick or feel run down.
Some signs of a healthy gut include:
Regular, comfortable poos (1–2 times a day)
No bloating or tummy pain after eating
Rarely feeling sick
Good energy and mood
Clear skin
No strong food cravings
-If this doesn’t sound like you, your gut might need support.
🟢What Can I Do to Support My Gut?
Here are some ways to start improving your gut health:
Eat more fibre (fruit, veg, nuts, seeds, whole grains)
Drink enough water every day
Manage stress with breathing, movement, or calming hobbies
Sleep, both good quality and length
Be active, regular movement helps digestion
🟢How I Can Help As A Naturopath
As a naturopath, I can help you with a more personalised plan, looking at what you eat at the moment (what foods might be aggravating your symptoms), your medical history, your lifestyle, and work a plan around what is important and going to work for you. We can look at:
Removing harmful bugs from your gut
Replacing them with good bugs using food and herbs
Repairing your gut lining using specific herbs and nutrients
I can give you ongoing advice on what to eat and how to support your gut health long-term, so you feel better not just now, but in the future too.
The ultimate goal is to help reduce your symptoms and feel better, with a plan that fits you.
Gut health is the foundation of overall health and can help relieve so many different health concerns.
If you’re ready to work on yours, I’d love to support you on that journey.
